With guest speaker Liz Jackson.

There will be Bible talks and seminars, plus lunch together (bring your own). Please choose your seminar when booking.

Seminar topics:

  • Let's get real!: Creating a culture of one anothering that brings us closer to each other and to Christ. Sabrina Featherstone.
  • Unfading beauty & the Fear of the Lord: In an anxious culture that chases external beauty, we will look at how the Bible says Christian women can cultivate an inner beauty that is of great worth in God's sight. Sally Gobbett.
  • Body Image: How do you feel about your body ? When you see a photo or catch yourself in the mirror; when you are shopping, trying to find the perfect outfit; when you find yourself comparing what you look like to others or even just watching your body change as the years go by. Sometime these thoughts about our body image are momentary and casual yet sadly, sometimes they are excruciating and painful.... The Bible doesn't have a heading for 'body image', chapter and verse, but it does speak into the issue, it tells us that they do matter and how to think rightly about the issue. A great topic for women, with time to think, listen and discuss. Liz Jackson.

Cost of the event per person is £2. Pastries and refreshments are included but please bring your own lunch.

Register for the event via our online booking form.

Guest Speaker

Liz Jackson is currently working as a women's worker at Jesmond Parish Church, Newcastle. As Women's Worker, Liz is responsible for overseeing many of the activities and groups that go on for women at JPC and aims to encourage and support many of the women in the congregation in their ministries.

She had the blessing of being brought up in a Christian home, the gospel came alive to her at CYFA holiday camps as a teenager and her faith was tested and grown at University at Newcastle.

In previous years she has worked for JPC as a Parish Assistant, student worker and after theological college worked again at JPC as a church worker. She had a break from work to have three lovely kids and most recently enjoyed teaching RE in a local school.
