Roger Martin

Roger grew up in a Christian Family in Surrey. He enjoyed going to Christian Youth Camps and started to trust and follow Jesus Christ at a Church of England Youth Camp in Colwyn Bay at the age of sixteen. He met his wife, Sue, at University and they moved to Cardiff in 1989. He and his family have been attending Highfields Church since December 2004. He started bringing his son to Kidz Club and was encouraged to get involved by leaders within that team. Since then he has helped at Kidz Club, 5 to 6, Soccer School and now leads KC+. His favourite time of year is the last week of August when Highfields hold their Holiday Bible Club. His interests are outdoor activities including rock climbing, skiing, canoeing and watching football. Gradually through the good auspices of his wife he has been introduced and educated in some of the finer things of life and Roger can occasionally be found listening to and even enjoying opera and classical music concerts.
