Up and running

We're racing towards our fundraising goal at the world half marathon championships this weekend.

H30 Fund | 17:55, 25 March 2016

If you have been following the launch of the H30 Fund, you will know we have got two main priorities over the next month or so:

1. To encourage lots of people to come up with brilliant ideas for mission projects, which we could support through the H30 Fund (please think about applying!)

2. To begin raising money towards our goal of £30,000, which will be used to support our 30 projects.

We only launched the H30 Fund last Sunday but it's been so encouraging to see progress on both counts.

We've had enquiries about submitting applications from right around Wales - some from individuals, others wanting support for bigger collective projects. Either way, it's been exciting to hear about people's plans to share the Good News or reach out to help people in need. There's still loads of time to have a think about what you could do. The deadline for applications is 1st May 2016.

Our fundraising also gets up and running this weekend, with a group of runners tackling the World Half Marathon Championships in Cardiff to raise money for H30. Susie Williams, Johnnie Graham, Richard Steer, Darran Waters, Alison Wakefield and John Thompson have put in loads of training to make the start line (watch out Mo Farah - they'll be chasing you) so please give them a supportive cheer on the way round. Please could you also thank them for their efforts by sponsoring them via their fundraising page.

And let's not forget the one man running machine that is Oli Lancaster. He plans to complete 30 runs of 10kms or more in 2016, including the World Half Marathon, to raise money for the H30 Fund. What a legend! Please give generously via Oli's fundraising page.

There will also be a Half Marathon Hog Roast party, raising money for the H30 Fund, at a house on the course, just after the 11 mile mark. You should be able to see and hear us as we plan to be making lots of noise in the front garden, come rain or shine. There are few tickets left (£12.50 for adults, children under 10 free). Email hello@h30fund.org if you want to come last minute.

Thanks for all your support. Have a peaceful and happy Easter!
