Living by Faith
We finished the previous series on "People Who Made a Difference" by focusing finally on Jesus – the One and Only – as we considered the opening verse of Hebrews 12. There the writer encourages us to run the race of faith "looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith." And it's in Hebrews we are going to stay over the Sunday evenings of the holiday period.
Continuing with the theme of Living by Faith this series looks at some of the key figures of chapter 11 in God's hall of fame and faith. Enoch, Noah and Abraham, although distanced from us by the passing centuries, are nevertheless part of that great cloud of witnesses who, having completed the race, are now in the heavenly grandstands urging us on! Their lives, though by no means perfect, have helpful lessons to teach us as we also seek to live shaped by the reality of faith in an unseen God.
Do catch up and listen to this series of evening sermons which were inspired by a visit to God's gallery of faithful heroes!
