Ministry Training Programme

Equipping a new generation for ministry in South Wales

Ministry Training Programme (previously 'Network') is a non-validated programme for:

"Equipping a new generation for ministry in South Wales"

Network SpeakerMinistry Training Programme (MTP) is focused on equipping men and women for ministry in our contemporary culture.  The course is built on three convictions: The Bible is God’s timeless Word, ministry demands a deepening heart for God and effective ministry requires understanding modern culture.  We recognise the vital role many have within the local churches. Our passion is to equip workers for local churches throughout South Wales.

Ministry Training Programme meets at Highfields Church on Tuesdays during terms.  Level 1 meets between 9.15 to 12.30.  Level 2 meets between 1 to 3.30.  Each term is 10 weeks. The course runs for three semesters starting on 24th September 2019.

Studying the BibleMinistry Training Programme is open to men and women who desire to be equipped for ministry.  Level 1 is focused on Foundational Training for those desiring a deeper understanding and those involved in ministry.   Level 2 is focused on developing skills in Bible teaching and areas of ministry.  These sessions involve workshop tutorials.  Those involved will be expected to join in preparation of outlines of Bible passages and guided reading.  Students may attend Level 1 and 2 together or separately.

Ministry Training Programme is open to men and women from any denomination who wish to be better equipped for ministry in their local church and South Wales.  Since the first course in 2004, more than 200 students from more than 40 churches across South Wales have benefited from this programme.  Ministry Training Programme seeks to deepen the training for our generation.

The Ministry Training Programme courses are taught through lectures, discussion groups and interactive classes. Some preparation is necessary most weeks but there are no formal exams.

Ministry Training Programme Is taught by qualified tutors within Highfields and other evangelical churches.  All the teachers have evangelical convictions and years of practical ministry experience.
