Rounded Rectangle: Study Matters Rounded Rectangle: The Lord’s prayer is one of the most famous prayers in the world. Nearly everybody knows as least some of it because it is said in schools, weddings and funerals everyday. But I wonder how many of those people actually know what they are saying. The same can be true for Christians; we can recite it in parrot fashion but do we know what we are asking God for? It’s really important that we do because Jesus gave it to us as an example of how we should pray. Try reading it together in Matthew 6:9-13 and having a go at some of the questions below. Rounded Rectangle: To Whom should we pray? How should we address God? What is the significance of the little word ‘our’? Why should our heavenly Father’s name be held in awe and the highest honour? Where is God’s kingdom? What things should we ask God for? Why should we forgive? How does this prayer act as a model for our prayers?
