Network Ministry Training Course

Network Wales & West

'Getting it right and getting it across' are the two main objectives of the Network Ministry Training Course.

Network is designed to help you get better equipped for ministry in your church and mission in your community.

Network Speaker
  • One morning a week for three terms, starting September 2010 in Cardiff
  • Four teaching tracks – Bible Skills and Exposition, Bible Overview and Christian Beliefs, Ministry Issues and Workshops, Leadership and Mission (new for 2010)
  • Qualified tutors with evangelical convictions and years of practical ministry experience.
  • Regular guest lecturers  – recent speakers include Lindsay Brown (International Director, Lausanne Movement), Richard Cunningham (UCCF UK Director) and Rosemary Aldis (OMF).

Network is open to men and women from any denomination who wish to be better equipped for ministry in their local church. Previous students include church lay-assistants, lay leaders, para-church workers, people moving towards full-time Christian ministry, ministry leaders with a regular teaching role in their church and people wanting to use their retirement for ministry. Since the first course in 2004, more than 100 students from more than 30 churches across South Wales and the West have benefitted from Network over the last six years.

Studying the Bible

The Network courses are taught through lectures, discussion groups and interactive classes. Some preparation is necessary most weeks but there are no formal written assessments.

Network is held on Tuesdays from 9.00am to 1.00pm at Highfields Church in Cardiff, beginning on September 21st 2010. The cost is £150 per term.
